Bluetooth
Clarinox can provide off the shelf Bluetooth software and hardware
as well as custom solutions.
Our software and hardware engineers rely on many years of experience
designing and developing innovative solutions.
Clarinox provides cost effective and innovative Bluetooth technology
to business, providing:
- ClarinoxBlue Bluetooth protocol stack software and SDK on a variety of platforms
- Custom Bluetooth application development
- Bluetooth profiles
- Location determination: triangulation or point-to-point point
- Real time audio streaming via Bluetooth
- Clarinox Turnkey Bluetooth Solutions
Clarinox can provide a Bluetooth Protocol Stack featuring a simple
API. In fact the API is so simple to use that the expected code
size for most applications will be only one third of the code required
using other stacks. Protocol layers include Host Controller Interface
(HCI) and L2CAP functionality, as well as implementations of the
Service Discovery Protocol (SDP), RFCOMM Protocol, Generic Access
Profile (GAP), and Serial Port Profile (SPP).
A major advantage of the Clarinox implementation is the ability
to run multiple simultaneous profiles.
For more details please see our PDF
brochure.
Clarinox have worked on a number of complex applications suited
to a range of industries.
A child tracking application employed the Clarinox location determination
algorithm to enable tracking from a single mobile unit.
An audio tour application delivered real time MP3 streaming over
Bluetooth and utilised the Clarinox multiple simultaneous profile
capability.
Clarinox offers solutions suitable for single units to handle
multiple applications such as handsfree, SIMaccess and infotainment
as suitable for the automotive industry.
Other applications are suitable for industrial applications, others
again for the retail sector - if you require wireless electronics
Clarinox can help.

ClarinoxBlue provides the layers from HCI Transport drivers (for
UART, USB, BCSP and emulation); L2CAP, and RFCOMM, though to SDP
& OBEX.
Additional support is provided to provide Audio support (SCO)
as well as advanced audio (MP3 streaming).
The ClarinoxBlue Service Discovery mechanism is very advanced.
Of course Generic Access Profile is provided, as is SPP, as these
are the base for many other profiles.
Headset and proprietary local positioning are also available.

Clarinox provided a proprietary local positioning profile to facilitate
the tracking of a child from a single mobile unit. This was done
based on the ClarinoxBlue algorithm that utilises a number of parameters
to determine location within approx 10%.
Dream of true real time MP3 streaming over Bluetooth? For applications
from in-car entertainment, mobile consumer electronics, or as part
of an audio tour system, then the Clarinox capability to provide
wireless MP3 can add value. Please contact us for more details.
Clarinox has the team to supply complete turnkey Bluetooth Solutions
so if you have a specific requirement in mind please contact us
to discuss.

About Bluetooth
Bluetooth, invented in 1994 by L. M. Ericsson of Sweden and named
after Harald Blaatand "Bluetooth" II, king of Denmark
940-981A.D, is a technology standard using short-range radio links,
intended to replace the wiring connecting portable and/or fixed
electronic devices. Connections are established dynamically and
automatically as Bluetooth devices enter and leave the radio proximity.
The key features of the standard are robustness, low complexity,
low power, low cost and ability to simultaneously handle both data
and voice transmissions.
